Project - Cedar Siding, CertainTeed Roof & Andersen Windows in Falmouth, MA

The before photo on this Falmouth project tells the whole story. Old siding stripped completely to bare sheathing, decades of degraded insulation exposed, rotted framing visible at the roofline — this structure needed a full exterior overhaul, not a patch job. That’s exactly what it got.

This was a complete three-trade project: new siding, new roof, and new windows, all executed together so every component was installed properly and in the right sequence.

For the siding, we installed natural white cedar shingles throughout. Fresh out of install, the characteristic honey-blonde tone gives the home warmth and authenticity — and over time it will silver into the classic Cape Cod gray that belongs in this region. The coursing is tight and consistent across every elevation, with decorative scalloped shingles along the base course adding a traditional detail that fits the Cape-style architecture perfectly.

The roof was done with CertainTeed Landmark PRO in Charcoal Black — a deep, rich tone that anchors the whole exterior. Against the natural cedar and white trim, the contrast is exactly right. All new windows are Andersen 400 Series double-hung, installed with clean white surrounds that tie the facade together.

From completely stripped bare to a fully rebuilt exterior — siding, roof, and windows — at $80,000–$85,000 this was a total transformation that will last decades.
